India bans e commerce companies from selling their own products

In a recent statement indian government bans e commerce companies from selling their own products on their marketplace or they can not be entered into exclusive agreement with sellers. this rules will be applicable for all e-commerce companies or group of companies involved in e-commerce business all the group companies where they own stake can not sell their own products  operating in india.

“An entity having equity participation by e-commerce marketplace entity or its group companies, or having control on its inventory by e-commerce marketplace entity or its group companies, will not be permitted to sell its products on the platform run by such marketplace entity,” the commerce ministry said in a statement.
