Be more inclusive. think what is needed rather than thinking what you want Parikshit Sachdeva C.E.O PSEUDO Advertising

We are PSEUDO Advertising, an advertising agency specialized in the digital space. Primarily we deal in brand positioning, campaign building, social media management, website design, digital marketing, photography and video production.

2. What inspired you to go for this area of business?
Advertising is a space that really excited me, the fact that you can change the perception of people in 30 seconds and convince them to buy your product. As I grew up I started observing the advertisments very keenly, be it print or radio or television, it kept me hooked and I often found myself lost in ideas for different ads that I’d like to create for a particular brand.

3. What are all the challenges you faced and how you overcame them?
Since, I started up with zero budget, like actually zero budget. I bought my laptop by swiping my credit card and at that time I didn’t even know how am I going to pay the EMI, all I had was courage and the will to build something great. The biggest challenge was to convince the clients I approached that I can take care of their digital advertising all by myself, I could design, shoot videos, strategise, etc all by myself. It took some time, I even had to work for free for a couple of months to convince them that I’m worthy of their trust.

4. Kindly share with us the achievements of your company in the industry so far?
First and foremost achievement is my team. I’m fortunate to be working with people with free thinking, and smacked with zeal and enthusiasm to grow. we are a 100% stress free organisation, no one screams at anyone, no pressure, infact for us it’s more like play than work. We practice yoga and meditation as a part of daily work at the office. My team is more like my family, in true sense. In terms of business we managed to achieve a turnover of more than half a crore in the first year and increasing every month. Despite the increasing work, the pressure on people did not increase, in fact everybody has become more exuberant and happy. Another big big achievement for me is that people are ready to work for me for free, can you beat that?

5. What are all your future plans for your business?
We came into business to help extremely passionate and visionary Indian nationalist entrepreneurs expand their business. My aim is to provide clean air, clean water, clean food (100% organic) and clean surroundings to all people associated with PSEUDO. For this, we are working towards building a campus office somewhere in Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand where we can stay and work. I want to erase the line between work life and personal life, it is just one life, lets do something significant.

6. In the crowd of different businesses, how do you differentiate your business ?
Every business according to me should be aimed at human well being. My business is also aimed at the same thing. The thing that sets us apart is that we do not compete with anyone, so we do not have any competition, because we work to lead and leaders do not compete with anyone, they just do what is right in their view to create something better everyday. At PSEUDO, we are truly devoted to the process and not the goal, I think that is something that sets us apart.

7. Do you feel you have achieved what you dream of?
No. My dreams are huge, I feel I’ll die happily unfulfilled.

8. What are all the improvements you suggest in the area of Business you are in?
Treat employees as humans, because only humans can express their emotions in a creative way. If you treat them like machines then all you get is a mechanical job.

9. Any piece of advice for budding entrepreneurs?
Be more inclusive. think what is needed rather than thinking what you want. At different times in society different things are needed. Be wise enough to supply what is needed.
