Funding updates 14th September 2018


  1. As part of its $500 million worth of global expansion project, Indonesian firm Go-Jek has launched its services at Hanoi under the brand title Go-Viet.
  2. The maker of Photoshop, Adobe systems is likely to buy a privately held cloud-based marketing software company, Marketo.
  3. After launching in Mumbai and Jaipur, Google is expanding its Neighbourly app to five more Indian cities viz, Mysore, Kota, Vizag, Coimbatore, and Ahmedabad.
  4. 4. A tech-oriented movers & packers company, ShiftKarado raised additional funding of Rs. five crores from Star WorldWide Group.
  5. NetApp has selected six startups in the emerging tech areas including CloudOptimo, FirstHive, InstaSafe,, Uber Diagnostics, and ZScore Technologies.
  6. 6. Fintech platform Bon raised $1.1 million (Rs 7.8 crore) in seed funding.
  7. Pharmeasy, an e-pharmacy startup has raised Rs 40 crore of debt funding from InnoVen Capital and working capital lines.
  8. Focusing on offline expansion, Amazon is planning to add more benefits to its Prime subscription.
  9. Through the point of sale terminals (PoS), Payback is planning to reach local Grocery stores. It is a Gurugram-based multi-brand loyalty management company for retail enterprises.
  10. Vokal, a Bengaluru-based knowledge sharing platform has successfully raised $6.4 Mn from a Bengaluru-based VC, Kalaari Capital, in the Series A round of funding.
  11. E-Rythu, a newly launched app by Andhra Pradesh government in order to reach out farmers and agriculture marketplaces.
  12. A Pune-based fruit snack named Frubites seller company, Rev Snacks Pvt Ltd has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Mumbai Angel Network.
  13. Jain Irrigation System Ltd is all set to acquire a US-based irrigation technology products company, ET Water Systems Inc.
